Mia Hamm

She achieved a two time Olympic gold medalist and FIFA Women's World Cup. She achieved this 

by playing since she was little. She played everywhere, at her high school, and secondary school. SHe would play forward  most of the time. Technology impacted this arete moment by giving Mia an opportunity to watch games that might have inspired to become a soccer player.

Reflection:

this is great because she didn't let anyone's opinions ruin her dreams of becoming a soccer player.  She played with men to challenge herself and improve. She never gave up and that lead to becoming a professional soccer player. I learned that in order to succeed in life you have to focus in your goals and never give up no matter how hard the path is.

Luke Aikins

His excellence is that he is a professional skydiver, base jumper, pilot, and aerial photographer. He achieved to land on land without a parachute or a wing suit. He achieved this by skydiving at age 12. Technology impacted this Arete experience because without the technology that was given to him, he wouldn't be able to jump from that high. All the technology helped know how safe things were and what were not. 

Reflection: This is a great achievement because he never gave up and he faced his fear. He would always challenged himself after he achieved something. I learned that we should face our fears because if we don't, we will never go far in life and we won't be able to achieve our goals.

Marvin Goldstein

1. Marvin's Goldstein achieved a music scholarship to Tel Aviv University School of Music.

2. The way Marvin Goldstein achieved this was by starting his training at age 9. 

3. Technology had a lot to do with this experience because he plays a lot of genres like Pop, Show tunes, Soul, r& B etc. In order for him to play of these he need a lot of different instruments. 

Reflection:

I think he is a smart man who was able to achieve a lot of achievements. He achieve so much by not giving up. He used technology to help him learn new genres of music. I learned that success takes time and we shouldn't give up on something we're really good at or love to do.
